Lived as a tenant for a yr. Stay away is my advice. Drains are bad, the staff serves only the older residents and in general they are bad.
did you hear about anyone have issues with the coop board while you were there (sounds like you just rented)? Day to day staff doesn't concern me if that's what you were referring to as "in general they are bad" as much as a coop board.
I have looked in that building before. Believe they have a sister building on 80th street. I think the board is not too bad in terms of approval, but I sense a lot of rent control and building maintenance issues when i was there. Every apartment I see there is in bad shape.
robocop - are you on the board here or another building? i see from another comment posted that you are on a board somewhere on the UES!
Basically the building is in a bad shape and most apartments do not get sunlight.
what about 345 east 86th street...heard anything about this building?
