Discussion about
Has anyone seen any of the spaces in this new building? It looks like they are asking about 1,550/sf without high end finishes. But I love the location.
The WHAT?!?!?!?
I checked it out, and I must say that loved it. At first I was wary given the downtown location (it can be pretty dirty and smelly), but once I got a taste, I went back to see it again. I loved the finish.
ha! My wife visited this place on my birthday. I give it a full stamp of approval
I disagree. I think you can't find a higher end finish than the Blumpkin. That's where I have my unit and I love the finishes. It is pricey though - at $1,500 per foot it cost me a fortune given the size of my unit.
I paid $1,600/sft but my unit is huge
$1600/foot !! thats steep - it mush have cost you almost $200 at that rate ?
$150/in is what it came out to
urbandigs, you have a square unit?
JuiceMan - you seem very interested in urban's unit ? I don't think he's selling.
If thats what you're looking for then try Spunky, he says he's not but he's always willing to sell at the right price.
my unit is a floor through..long, not narrow but not wide. good size for someone of my religion
Streets, you were the one that knew the size of urbandigs' unit, not me. So you must have been a buyer at one point or another. Not to mention lots of experience sharing fist fulls at the blumpkin.
Well digs, not sure that's what I'm looking for. Good luck selling your unit. Streets sounds interested, maybe he'll bite.
its too bad...great unit. Maybe a foreigner will buy it and cash in on the weak dollar
hopefully this is an inside joke - i really hope there's no new condo called the "Blumpkin".
Sadly enough, this is about as intelligent as any thread with a Spunky post...
stash17 - actually it is down the block from the Crumpkin.
Isn't this place right next to that dive bar, The Rusty Trombone?
I don't get what all the jokes are about. The Blumpkin is the newest phenom in NYC. Sure it's not the best neighborhood or the cleanest part of town. And you may not want to tell your friends you're thinking about it. But it just feels so right. You'll be very happy with the outcome. I know I was.
digs, did you ever sell your unit?
I heard that digs' unit had a major plumbing problem and at this point he is stuck with it.
Maybe you peeps should be looking into the Cunnilumpkin...or the Blumpkin Decker, much more high brow....
I asked my wife to check out this project one day when she was in the area. After a quick visit, she said it combined the worst aspects of Chelsea and Staten Island: obstructed brownstone views, and the oppressive smell of living downwind from a dump.
