Discussion about
Any ideas for separating the "bedroom" from the rest of the space? My criteria: - modern and "cool" looking - not fixed ... can be moved/dismantled - about 8-10 feet wide (in one or two pieces) and 6-8 feet high Thanks! --

SV,

For something like that the only one I can think of is The Sliding Door Co. The don't have the most durable stuff but might be the best for being moved and dismantled.

I used drapes on hospital glides. Tracks do not have to be straight, they can curve, creating interesting spaces and backdrops.

I have been looking too. Considered drapes or vertical shade panels but don't want anything attached to ceiling. Some of the sliding doors are very nice if you don't mind the tracks on the floor. The freestanding panels below are close to your specs but very expensive. Also there are only two design options.

I thought about using these folks and had gotten a proposal from them 5-6 years ago but ultimately decied not to go forward. They were quite professional, and quite pricey.

If you're going to spend thousands, why not just go all the way and install one of those Rakks systems?
