Discussion about
We drive past this development everyday, and there are never any lights on, except for the lobby and in the back. Odd that it's listed as 51% sold. It will be interesting to see what happens with this.
There are definitely people living there (i have a friend living in the building and she confirms that about half is full). Most likely people bought on the back side of the building, which is a) sunnier and b) quieter.
It doesn't look like any unit has closed yet.
Units have closed. As mentioned already, people are living in the building. My friend has been closed and moved in for 4 months.
It's interesting. None of the sales have been recorded yet.
I checked under 1138 Ocean Avenue, as I seem to remember that was the original address of the site, and saw some sales listed there. Not very many in the front though, which would explain why the building looks vacant. Probably has alot to do with the asking prices.
mh330,where did your friend get his/her loan? Is she/he enjoying the new condo?
mh330, did you friend use the preferred lender? Do you know which Bank/lender was used? Thanks a lot!
I, too, would love more info from your friend, mh330. We are considering purchasing one of these units. I have mixed feelings about the place, the building, the neighborhood, etc. Not really crazy about being on the front side...
Oops, didn't see these questions until now, sorry!
My friend likes it a lot, likes her building, likes the neighborhood. She was advised by her broker against ever using the preferred lender for a building, so she didn't, though i'm not sure of the reasoning for that advice. Not sure what bank she ended up going with.
Apparently there is a line of apts that are being sold as-is by the developer, that have bad pipes that bang like crazy (like old steam heat systems), so beware if you're thinking of those apts.
