Discussion about
I am first home buyer and looking for 1~2bedroomm. My budget is around 800k. Which area has more potencial investment-wise? Help me! NY has much better value than nj? With 800k, I can buy 2bed rooms new condo there's no great city view though. But with this money, I just can buy 1 bed in brooklyn heights. Even 1 bedroom, BH has more value?

Where do you work? Where do you spend your free time? Do you value the subway over a car/ferry combo? Do you want/need the extra bedroom? All of these (and many more) should factor into your decision.

Honestly, I saw a decent job posted in my specific niche posted recently in Weehawken, NJ and I just would not consider applying for the job because of the commute and because of potential for the hudson freezing over in the winter (ok, so the last couple of winters have been mild...) but honestly I had to consider it as a factor. If the Hudson froze over, commuting would have been a nightmare if the ferry service wasn't running and I seem to recall many instances in the past where that would occur.

btw, for my example to make sense, you would need to know that I live in Manhattan.
