Anybody know if the Standard Hotel in FiDi is still on and when/if renovations will begin. Below is the latest I was able to find from Curbed. http://ny.curbed.com/tags/5-beekman-street Someday we'll all have a chance to go inside 5 Beekman Street, the decaying brick and terra cotta beauty recently purchased by hotelier Andre Balazs. But for those who can't wait—or who'd rather see the non-Standard-ized version—there's an earlier opportunity. A company called Taste Architecture is offering a tour of and champagne brunch at Temple Court on Sunday, December 18 for the low, low price of $200.

Thanks for the info. It's too bad - The Standard would have been a great addition to the neighborhood. I haven't seen that inside of the building but the outside is one of the nicest I have seen. Hopefully somebody buys the building and turns it into something great.
