Manhattan Sex demographics. It's just women

I would love to see the numbers for young men and women between the ages of 25 (20 seems too young for an fairly educated population) and let's say 40 who both live in New York City, meet in NYC and marry. People meet each other other places for business or on vacation since this is an international city. Do these statistics include/exclude the gay population? Since I live on the UES, I think that young women live in this neighborhood because they can often find "reasonable" rents and it is perceived as a safe neighborhood so not surprisingly that more young women than young men.

This is also the age bracket where parents are most willing to help out the kids.

Bars are open to 4am in NYC. No where else in the countryhas that.

Alaska 5AM and Vegas they don't close. That's three gold stars and now we know where to drink. Seriously, I wish more decent restaurants would serve a bit later.

Hawaii too open late and one of the last to change the drinking age(if they ever did- wow gettinold).. I would also add that besides being able to serve for longer hours, the cost of a bottle of what ever is a lot more too.

the reason there are more NYC women is because there are much more old women than old men in NYC. Female live longer biologically.

Even with '53% female vs. 47% male', the stats are still against you since a male is typically found to be in relationships with multiple females at the same time.

When i moved to NY 12 years ago i was told there was 4 single women for each single man. Dunno if it was true but when i was at the top of my game being single, i had 3 different women in my bed each week.

sledghammer, I think you are right and I almost posted that earlier. My friends and I have had this conversation for years and 3 to 1 seems to be the ratio when you factor in gay men. Women I know seemed to think it was more like 4 to 1. So guys, don't forget to thank the Gay community for your extra hook-ups.

Its more than just the numbers - in Manhattan, there are far more self-identified gay men than there are lesbians. So the ratio is even more skewed than the numbers suggest. Also, if you narrow to only those with college or higher, woman (nationally and in) in NYC outnumber men. Which is where you get crazy 3 women for every guy stats - if its just straight, college educated women you want, Manhattan is the best place in the USA by a mile.

Strangely, I read that LA is the best for women, worst for men. Like literally out of the 100 largest cities, the largest is the best for men and #2 is the best for women. Weird.

Yeah, I do think the numbers jump dramatically in favor of women when you do college education, prime age, $$$...
