Not the worst, but definitely memorable.

Wow, buster, that 45 5th sure is a doozy. Perfect tutorial on what NOT to do when photographing for a listing--with all the vegetation, doodads and tacky 'object placement' tableaux it is impossible to see the apartment.
I have to admit I love the Cornelia St. apartment. It's fabulously zany.
I gravitate toward "unusual" apartments, but there is a limit. The apartments that really get to me are the ones with toilets and/or bathtubs in strange places. We saw a couple of places where the toilet was in its own closet, with not even a sink, and the bathtub was all the way across the apartment -- often in the kitchen and sometimes with only a shower curtain v. a wall. Even at the cheapest Manhattan prices, I can't imagine having to shower in my kitchen.
There was also a link to a Tuscan-themed West Village place awhile back that, while otherwise lovely, had a giant tub in the master bedroom. At least that was fixable and wasn't the only method of washing oneself.
lad, you had to see it live to unappreciate it. It really hasnt been touched since the 80s.
The floorplan also is most challenging as a triangular unit (think the corner narrow tip of the flatiron building)
Thought the views of 6th ave were stellar.

You dare question Betsey Johnson's taste?

Forgot to mention you have to walk thru your master bath to get to and fro your bedroom and living room
One of the worst, most challenging layouts I ever saw: http://streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/190204-coop-23-east-10th-street-greenwich-village-new-york
And while the photos are gone from the 1 Fifth Ave penthouse that was for sale a couple years ago, it was a garrish pink nightmare of mirrors and 1970s pure-designer-gone-crazy in an otherwise fabulously expensive duplex one-bedroom. Money aside, the apartment would have made me very happy with a super gut reno, but the decor stands out as a mind-boggling testament to money-does-not-buy-taste.
Kyle--if I remember correctly you once posted a Village gem done to the nines in Tuscan decor, right down to tromp l'oeil 'aged' venetian plaster... Can you dig that one back up? It's worth a mention here.
The Albert has lots of weird layouts. The one posted could be a great dorm alternative for four college kids (I assume not allowed). For adults, though, the small room sizes could make it feel as if the walls are closing in.
