Discussion about
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/04/us/when-living-in-limbo-avoids-living-on-the-street.html Guess with so many, the person who the house is most valuable to is the person in it, and trying to find someone new means the home could be worth less or be vacant and be vandalized and drag down the neighborhood.

Hogwash!
The banks don't have their paper-work in order and can't foreclose due to the increased scrutiny of judges and public awareness of what the foreclosure mills are doing.

riversider.. I'm trying to understand you... DO YOU HATE the banks? The very banks whose lax lending created the bubble to pump up your Riverside COOP from $100K to $600K in 15 years? The VERY banks who with Bernie's blessing is trying to pump up the RE mkt and make people earn 0.000001% on their savings acct?

OR do you hate the Banks for messing up their paperwork and work "around" real property title laws?

When YOU are masturbating with your right hand does your left hand smack your head and say "you fking immoral bastard!"?

How do you bemoan the rise in cream cheese prices and yet stay silent about manhattan RE bubble?

How do you support Iran and yet consider yourself a friend of Israel?

How do you collect social security checks and bitch about the financial state of our country?

How do you hate technology but post on SE ALL THE TIME?

banks cannot really foreclose, because they need the trillions of MBS/CDS stay float, otherwise the financial crisis would happen (what happened in the past few years is nothing comparing to such a real melt down)

Riversider: The crybaby stinkape had a poverty stricken childhood.
The Fifth Ave. ladies were not nice to him.

I'm guessing he's in his 40s.
So he didn't grow up during the Great Depression.

How does a a man in his 40s who lives so well (according to him and his comments on se)
cry like a baby in 2012 on se about his treatment from the Fifth Ave. ladies of the 1960s?
