OK, so Sprint is back to $2.40. Why do you care? Are you on the other side of the trade?

Been very busy with planning summer for kids. It's between Greece or Italy for 6weeks. Mid June to July. Trying to coordinate with some sailing friends. It's gonna be hot, but Paris was supposed to be cold in march and beijing was supposed to be cold also. So let's throw caution to the wind!

But thanks for the heads up ericho. Bought 40k more of sprint at $2.39 right bf the close. 3:57pm whew! Now 200k shares of sprint and closed out my June covered calls at $3.50 strike. $.15 profit on 160k shares what is that? Can someone do the math?

Are there summer school programs in long island city?

And btw ericho, do you think the bank syndicate will allow the revolver to be used to pay for the $300mm, and in the future will they rollover and term it out to give sprint some breathing room, or does it go straight to bk? I'd like to know what an overleverged LIC bucket shop stk broker thinks.

dubya secret of success: be aggressive, throw in a few finance phrases you heard on CNBC, add a few zeros to any number you are talking about, and when math gets fuzzy burst into song.

"Give me beta, give me returns on my $400k that I would have lost on my nyc condo"

I told you about SHIAX (Junk bonds) back in Spring of 2009, did you listen? That 400K would had been worth north of 700K today with a fat 7.5% yield these days.

Seems like an excellent place to put your housing $ and your retirement $.

As for w67, remember, he told us it was only a very small % of his net income and wealth. Was it less than his porsche, yacht, rolex, and expensive vacation?

Thanks for asking columbiacounty, but in absence of knowing a full financial profile, life circumstances and risk tolerance, etc. I wouldn't make a recommendation. And even with all of that detail, I probably wouldn't make a recommendation other than to see a financial advisor. You see, I don't go around shouting that one size fits all. You'll rarely see me telling someone to affirmatively take one path over another, though I will point out someone who I believe is making a grave mistake, including by way of putting all eggs into one basket, like picking out Sprint stock as a main source of investment. Or by buying a single investment property to rent out to a third party.

Alan. Who knew toilets added so much value. Imagine a bidet!!!!

I'll give it to him nada.

$6 is based on 'I'd be up $1mm on a $810k investment in a year, and I'm out! Ya beythes!'

Herez the financial insanity of w67, at $3 sprint was a $10b vs $240b (AT&T / verizon) bk trade. To $6 x bk trade. $12 potential if it starts hitting stride. Longer term, google, facebook, apple all wanna be mobile only, buy the fking pipeline. Longer longer term convergence of cable / wireless.

Nice place to ride out domestically while the euro falls apart. Fklmaozz.

Yeah but I waz up $700k this morning when it traded at $4.95, lost $55k since 9:40.... That blows. The math works if w67 has 350k shares. Did w load up more?, why wouldn't I when sprint is still so so cheap.

Iphone5, sprint takes more market share as ppl get whacked with data overage charges due to higher LTE speeds. Booyah! Chance of nyc re doubling in the next 2 yrs => 0%. Chance of sprint hitting $9.60 => 100%.

Yet SE is till littered with 'my mortgage banker stole $1k'!!! Wtf? You just killed your $300k downpayment, and you are bitching about a $7k deposit? Flmoazzz. Peace out nada. Gotta go mentally spend my $650k gain in 5 months

Ya think ford is gonna double?ya think fb will double? Ya think apple will 2x? Ya think google will 2x? Ya this con Ed will double in 2yrs?

And finally da ya think LIC condos will double in 2yrs, 5 yrs, 20 yrs? Never on a 'real' basis. It was and still is a massive fking RE bubble

Btw, mortgages delinquency hits new high! Read the news unless you are blind. Hear the news then.

nada... conEd was a great call... but when you can make 100% in 4 months ya get a little piggish. But here are a few thoughts that lead me to stay in sprint versus say....an index fund.

Do I think Dow will hit 26K in 2 yrs?
Do I think apple will hit $1,200 share in 2 yrs?

and sadly, bc ConEd has run up 100% in 3yrs => w67 would rather bet sprint which is still skating around bk pricing will double off of $4.7/share sooner than:
1) NYC RE;
2)DJIA at 13K;
3)FB;
4)Google;
5) and sadly your excellent ConEd call... I still owe you a beer on that.... heck a nice bottle of Montalcino.

I love SE. and Ericho.... RE BULLZ like him make the Sprint call seem so so so "rational."

Cheers.

my regret on coned was the all too often.. right on the call, but not on the amount. $30K doesn't move my "wealth" of meter. $650K on sprint... yeah.. .that moves my meter, esp if that is pure "risk free" capital that can be put into something safe like a coned for a 10% return for 20 yrs....

someone got an HP? That should allow me to never eat cat chow in my retirement.

10023.. I'm sure you've not listened to a ton of talking heads and have been much better off for it...."winner bias."

-wink- w67th is still a lowly renter- $650K richer... but still a renter.

I'm not a good stock picker in areas that I don't understand. I still don't understand why U.S. equities are up, given the fact that the Euro is still in trouble - despite all the reassuring noises made by ECB.
