FYI: there are about 4 other condos going up in a 2 block radius

- alexander
- 211 east 51st
- an empty lot on 2nd about a block south away
- an empty lot on 2nd about 2 blocks north away
- a condo conversion a block away on 52nd street (but it might be a hotel, can't be sure)

Not sure if this area can absorb this supply esp with the financial jobs up in the air

agreed. and let's not forget that the Alexander is selling at 1,500/sq ft in midtown east. that's hefty, despite the fact that the condos look great.

I live in this area - it's one huge construction zone.

i'd just like to know who got paid off so that a 46 (!) story monstrosity could be built in that location.

Sadly, this building is still standing with no progress on it. Just a cement slab with open light bulbs (24/7) and orange netting. What a waste.
