750,000 in cash have to move by september 1t h better to close on a charming special space priced well n a ok neighborhood with a 600,000 mortgage leaving enough money in the bank for a future real estate transaction (and potential to "fall in love with the neighborhood") rent for $5,000 per month until finding the "perfect place" (it may take forever)

Do not buy unless you love it. For $750k apt, the rent will be $3500 at most in a prime area. You are not really comparing like apartments.

It's a 1.35M apt.
