I realize tenants will be tempted to comment here and anyone who ever paid an application fee and then got turned down for an apartment and didn't get a refund or had their rent increased too much for their liking, etc. etc. will trash their management company, but I'd like to hear from the BROKERS out there that know the inside scoop on management companies/building owners. The word on the street. The ones the Brokers have the inside scoop on and know you should not rent from them for one reason or another. For instance, they have low end buildings or poorly maintained or they are known for getting tenants in at below market rates and then increasing rents the 2nd year enormously (or does everyone do that?). Here's what I've heard so far: Jackobson is a steer clear. Reputable ones seem to be Manhattan Skyline, Solow, Rudin, Rose, Brodsky, TF Cornerstone, Glenwood, Related, Stonehenge, Bettina, Archstone (feel free to disagree). What about J. Lemle, Sky, Prince, B&L, Siderow, Landmark, Carnegie Hill Properties, etc. You don't have to comment specifically on this list, but who is on YOUR no fly list? [less]
My no fly list is:. Fuck you. Figure it out for yourself.
Jim how's your wife?
keep working towards that milestone. 8000 posts. imagine the effort it takes to do that....
Jim, what does your daughter call your hired help? "mommy"?
