Discussion about
This guy was a constant Manhattan Real Estate BEAR. He always foretasted that rents will remain flat and will not go up for a decade or so. I guess SteveJHX has moved out of Manhattan since his landlord jacked up his rent 3 fold.
He wan't tied to NYC, work allowed him flexibility of location, yes - his landlords were increasing his rent in Chelsea and later Hell's Kitchen, and he chose a different lifestyle and Mercedes.
translation:
So Steve you are now posting under hunters urg?
he moved way South...florida way
His website has the new address in Wilton Manors, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. Looks OK, as those things go. The stuff you see in those rental magazines at provincial airports.
Petrofizz!!! Welcome back!
Petrfitz, despite changing your name to User_Usertofferson (whatever that means), you haven't been paying much attention if you think I'm stevejhx.
What happened is that poor little Daddy's boy who failed in the family business and was kicked out by his father was so so angry that he continually trolled this board. Eventually, he couldn't even afford to live here so he had to move - to Ft. Lauderdale. *blech*
matson, sounds like you've amalgamated a few characters.

I can't see how rent can continue in the current trajectory ... can anyone of you really believe that it can ?
With the coming war in Europe, an increasingly Putinesque Russia, the series of coups and dictatorships recently begun in the Middle East, and China's economic collapse sending Latin America back to its own perennial pattern of severe instability ... Williamsburgh and New York should have an ever-growing number of rich exiles and other criminals propping up rents and condo prices.
Excelsior!
alan, welcome back! let the debates begin!
What's to debate? Fax is fax, Jax. Sign the petition!
Thanks.

I also thought my refinance rate from 2011 couldn't get any lower. The rate has been dipping everyday.
I think the rental market will continue to go up and up. This is NYC, nothing drops.
Rents have gone up recently, but that was after a decline. Last stat I saw (the chart everyone passed around) said 90's levels in real terms.
Building I'm in, people signing leases now for less than the rates were in 2007....
Overll, Stevejhx was an early real estate bull, and should get some credit... but his stock calls were very, very bad, and eroded any credibility he had... not to mention that when things got bad, I think he did call for greater than 50% declines in Manhattan.
ha, sorry, early BEAR.
