Discussion about
I am looking to have a wardrobe built for my bedroom, and possibly re-do my pantry closet. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have seen some cali-cloets which look great, but very pricey. Are there any good alternatives to them? FYI, I live in a upper east COOP. Appreciate the feedback.

go to Ikea website and put in your measurements, then click and drag. have it delivered to your house and a handyman/super put it together. less than 1/4 of the cost of a cali-closet. i'm not an ikea fan, but with closets, it's not like you'll be taking them out ever.

I am looking at closets now and saw Ikeas. Not the same at all. There are some better options out there. Google closets and apartement therapy and they have guides.

Elfa (The Container Store) is another option, similar to CC but cheaper.

Thanks for the responses, but I was looking for a full service company. I was aware of Ikea, Elfa, & Easy closet.

ELFA at the Container Store will do an in-store consultation (bring all your measurements, incl how many pairs of shoes etc.) and they feed it into a program that calculates what you need and draws you a picture. They will also send an installer. Friendly and competent.
