Then I received a follow-up letter urging me to send in the survey. Today I got another survey, in case I misplaced the first.
Questions:
Would you be in favor of a law in your community that allows ownership of chickens?
Would you mind if your neighbor owned chickens?
Are Eggs from home-raised chickens better for you than eggs purchased at a grocery store?
Do you believe Chickens in urban areas will lead to more illnesses in humans?
Do you own any chickens at this address?
Do you plan on owning chickens at this address in the next 5 years?
I'll have to check with the co-op board to see if they mind owners raising chickens in their apartments.
You can't make this stuff up.

Seriously, consider the implications. The gubmint is known for funding useless studies, but what if this one really isn't useless? Wasn't it in Cuba where everyone who could had terrace and rooftop farming? There's a horrible drought, not to fearmonger as I think adjustments can be made, possibly, to combat climate change. But chickens in relatively urban areas would be not be completely inconsistent with our decline in real income for the masses, if things continue heading south.
