Discussion about
We currently live in a standard alcove studio and are thinking of converting to a jr-1. The only problem is, that conversion would seal off the entrance to the bathroom and we would need to walk through the "bedroom" to get the bathroom each time. To remedy this, we're thinking of creating a new door to the bathroom from the living room side (and sealing off the old one), but now we have a new problem - the wall that faces the living room, and where the new door would be created, is the side that has a tub. Fun. Is it relatively easy to switch the position of your tub and toilet (I figured the answer is no)? If so, anyone familiar with any plummer/remodeler/contractor that would be good with this kinds of stuff and at what price range? Thanks!
You'll need new waste lines for the toilet which is a big deal with the building.
It's not always horrible. I had to do it in a rental to upgrade the tub. It all depends, as mentioned above, on the extent to which the waste line has to be moved or if you can tie into other plumbing. The guys who maintain my properties are quite good if you want an opinion.
