Opinions? Would you live in a building like One Carnegie Hill (215 east 96) in terms of the neighborhood?

Yes, it is very close to the Subway in terms of getting to public transit. There is a Gristede's just another block down. I believe the stumbling block comes if you have kids. The local school there on 96th and 3rd, though good, still ranks lower than some others on the UES.

THere is a thread about 215 East 96th street which discusses building at length. Definitely not a place I would buy, but not bad as a rental

Matsui, you've described yourself as a broke renter. How could you buy at this building or elsewhere?
