Just across the river from DUMBO ;-) No seriously, it's in Manhattan, and it's not quite up and coming, but mark my words it will be!

may sound crazy to some..but Bayridge is really great part of town..if you work downtown manhattan--literally the express bus will get you to manhattan in about 15 minutes..starting better train service too with the N train..prices of coops are really reasonable..3rd avenue in the 80s and 90s is very cool

Heh, 2 Bridges. I live near there right now, and think it's in the top 3 (or, is it bottom 3) crappiest 'hoods south of 110th st. But, if you like the look and feel of the projects, then it's a damn cheap part of Manhattan (probably the cheapest on a per square foot basis).

Bay Ridge isn't up and coming...its here, its been here for YEARS!

i guess my interpretation of "up and coming" is different than yours...but i understand your point.
