Park knocked at E 70 st between 3rd and 2nd

Parks occupied each side lot of the tall apartment building between 3rd and 2nd on E 70th. One of parks have been demolished. Does anyone know why the park was demolished and what will take it's place?

they are just renovating the park, I live right there (70th bet 2nd and third)
