You sound very committed to that point of view. Have you been to Russia?
No! But my husband has many, many times. One of his biggest clients is there. And my best friend from college is a Jewish emigrant who was let out in the '70s.
But more importantly we have a fair amount of knowledge about insurance law, internationally, including cat coverage. The area that was hit is poor as dirt. I'd guess almost no individuals had coverage.
Have you been to Russia? Do you have any knowledge of insurance coverage, particularly internationally?
I have not been to Russia. My domestic insurance knowledge is de minimis, and international is practically nil.

Named exclusions typically include relatively common natural disasters like floods and earthquakes, but also man-made problems like a nuclear accident, according to the Insurance Information Institute. Thankfully meteorites are not common enough to warrant charging an extra premium from insurance companies.
