Discussion about
Just curious why some of the larger firms and their agents seem not to be abiding to REBNY guidelines. REBNY rules state that: "Listing Information set forth in Exhibit A must be disseminated via the RLS and shall be transmitted to all other Participants in the RLS by the earlier of twenty-four (24) hours (except on weekends and postal holidays) after obtaining the Owner’s signature on the Exclusive Listing, or disseminated to other Participants in the RLS simultaneously with any public dissemination of such Exclusive Listing." I have encountered many situations whereby the listing is on a company website ofr days, and sometimes Street Easy, but information is not shared with the brokerage industry. Anybody else fed up with this? thoughts?
until REBNY starts doing something about it, you're out of luck. considering that REBNY is paid by brokers, something like this will be completely ignored as "just an oversight"
Who does the REBNY serve?
UES, do you have an example of this? It's my understanding that at all the big firms, once it gets put into their listing system it automatically goes out to the other REBNY firms. How do you know that it's not being shared? And, if you really feel that a listing isn't being shared (though I'm still uncertain as to HOW you know this unless you are a broker and it isn't showing up in your system or you are working with a broker who is telling you that it's not showing up in which case they didn't check or you caught them on their heels) then you should call REBNY and report the firm and the broker specifically. I don't think that REBNY has the time or resources to check every single listing in NYC.
Are you telling me that brokers are not pillars of integrity?
Are you telling me that if you remove the thin mask called REBNY from the face of the NYC real estate broker system, that underneath is not the face of lucifer?
