Summer Noise - Manhattan Ave

We are considering buying a place on Manhattan Ave near W116th and I wondered if people could comment on recent noise levels? I found some older posts that said the area was very loud in the summer until early morning hours. We've walked around in the evening and it seemed fine but it's spring. Any thoughts or info on the neighborhood would be greatly appreciated.

People hang out by their houses in the summer in harlem. I don't think it is much more / less then other areas of the city, but since Harlem is mostly townhouses, you tend to hear it more.

Some blocks think the outside is their back yard... I don't think Manhattan Ave is like that. I like that area.
