I am wondering whether people can have recommendations for a contractor for our reno this summer. I went through all old threads and made a list, but most are apparently no longer in business, or have neither Angie's list reviews or a website. I am wondering whether people can have recommendations for a contractor for our reno this summer. I went through all old threads and made a list, but most are apparently no longer in business, or have neither Angie's list reviews or a website. We wish to: replace tub with whirlppol tub, replace vanity (understanding that this might also require tile replacement); remove cabinet over stove, install hood and new stove, perhaps tile kitchen floor and backsplash; have built-in bookcases painted, possibly built (don't know if the building of them would be arranged for separately). Our building manager recommended someone who has worked there before, but I was not enthusiastic after our phone conversation--did not seem very professional. We definitely want to get multiple estimates/bids. I'm hoping to get some more recent recommendations/suggestions. Thanks! [less]
