Discussion about
Any recommendations as to where I can find very light (almost white-colored) oak floors, with broad boards? Not engineered or any other form of man-made material.

I don't get the three question marks. One question mark in absence of a polite short statement is enough, but three questions marks? I see that a lot from teenagers to early 20s who don't work in an environment where there are expectations of the ability to communicate in writing, except of course for personal sexting.

I like Eastside Floors. If you want to check out their selection, call to make an appointment.

LV Wood (West 20th St.)
Carlisle (A&D Building)

Neither is cheap. Other option is just buying the flooring, and have your floring person bleach/stain to your liking.

Sammy,

I also like Eastside floors but I would check with Chris at BK Floor Supply. Prices are better, tell him Jeff from Prime Renovations suggested you call. He will take care of you

Mercier and Mirage brands are great. Prices in the city are ridiculous. I would recommend finding a supplier outside the city. A few years back I was quoted 11-12$ psf for Mercier flooring a manhattan supplier. An upstate New York supplier was able to get it for me for 6-7$ psf.

does any one know if they have local milled quartersawn-only oak?

most floors in the market today are manufactured in asia and you only notice the quality is bad a while later

@ greensdale-unlike you- I do not troll this site 24/7. I come here for specific purposes; seriously consider/act upon the productive advice posted by some of the experts (you obviously are not one of them); & then come back with my own findings or follow up questions.

Wtf greensdale? Do you not have a life of your own? Go back to "sexting", as you claim to be well-versed in that! Go back to your petty, empty, pathetic & desperately attention-seeking existence in your mom's basement? Have you done your chores yet for the weekend? Watch out or Mom might put a restriction on your computer usage!

My mom's basement??? Aren't you moving in with your mom after years of subsidized housing???

When you are asking others for advice, why don't you learn how to be polite??? Three question marks because you didn't get the attention you wanted??? Apparently all those years in subsidized housing didn't require a job or responsibilities that required any degree of professional interaction with real people...

@greensdick-I have officially "greyed you"-so move on you degenerate...obviously you do not know how to interact with actual humans, you professional sexter!

Please only complain about my perceived "unpoliteness", if you actually have given any worthwhile advice in the past, to which I have been ungracious. Which obviously has never happened, since you never have anything worthwhile to say anyway. "Speak only when you're spoken to!" - that is politeness! Obviously you were not taught the basics of human interaction, professional behavior, etiquette, acceptable social behavior or politeness. Tell Mama this Mother's Day what a tremendous failure she has been for raising a dick like you!

Yes-I do not share your values of living in mom's basement, trolling SE all day long & sexting all day long!
