i live on 87th/2nd, the former PS151 zone. I've submitted the request for school assignment a few weeks ago, but haven't heard anything back yet. Has anyone else heard otherwise? Are there any PS151 zone parents out there who can share their experiences from the past couple years?

I can't halp but do have a question.
You have "submitted the request for school assignment". How does that work? I live JUST outside the PS 6 district, is there a way for me to request that my child be assigned to PS 6?

There are a few blocks on the UES which was zoned for PS151. That was closed for renovation a few yrs ago, and since then the kids in the former-PS151 zone have been assigned to 6 neighboring schools.

There are plently of websites out there that you can type in your address/zip to find out your zone, however, calling DOE directly is the only sure way.

Last I heard, applying for a variance to PS6 is pretty much impossible.
