Discussion about
Any suggestions for a shop that can do so small metal fabrication work? I need a couple of sections of railing (3-4 feet each) and some brackets for fencing on a terrace. Nothing too elaborate or decorative. I'm tempted to take a welding course and just learn how to do it myself, but would like to have a backup plan.

Depends on where you are to maximize convenience, but you may want to try Italian Art Iron Works on Bergen Street in Brooklyn.

Looks good, thanks. The other place I found (on Brownstoner) is Lopopolo Iron Works, which is down by Coney Island.
