Discussion about
I am wondering about the values/availability of one bedroom apartments in the center(between Hudson and W4 St) of the West Village. We have been watching/looking at available properties for about 15 months and it appears there is a lot less inventory and the prices are MUCH higher than when we started looking in March 12. Has the economy improved that much??? Or did we miss our chance for a well priced apartment??
Yes. You missed your chance. For co-ops your looking at 1200-1500 psft. depending on characteristics, and 2000ish for new construction. 15 months ago it was at least 10 or 15 percent less. Your options now are to either pay up or rent. Market timing can be difficult to predict.
How many are you intending to buy? You already said you bought several months ago: http://streeteasy.com/nyc/talk/discussion/33799-neighborghood-west-village?comment_id=505792
Never mind; I get it. It's always good to help prop up the neighborhood after you buy. I've been shilling for the UWS for 20 years.
The handle "TONOSPAM" was unavailable.
Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Spadaccini - are you thinking of selling already? Those tourists outside of Magnolia Bakery can get awfully annoying on the weekends.
Do people really think that stupid comments on SE are going to push up the value of the WV?
That strategy certainly hasn't done much for C0lumbia C0unty.
