Has anyone experienced poor quality indoor air at the Aire apartments on the UWS? There indoor air in the apartment appears really tight and at times very thick like theres no natural airflow coming in. Often I wake up with red eyes and a jet lagged feeling. I had someone take a look and they said the HVAC units in the apartments are not within regulation as there’s no inlet for natural air on the unit. Along with no other air inlet in the apartment. They said the Co2 (carbon dioxide not to be confused with carbon monoxide) was very high which shows there’s little natural or clean air coming into the apartment. We did a test with a monitoring device and the Co2 is really high during the night and noticed when the bedroom door is closed it goes even higher which is probably leading to the sick feeling in the morning. Has anyone else had sicknesses related to the building or feel the air quality is very poor? They said the reason they pump so much air into the hallways is so some of it may seep through the door to the apartments and why you get the whistling effect. They also noted that theres no suction in the bathroom at the vent except when you open the front door which shows the strange pressure differentials in the building. Be interested to know if this experience occurs in other apartments. [less]
"the indoor air appears tight"...how the fuck does air appear tight?
When you're sealed into an apartment with no natural air flow it feels "tight". Especially high up on the upper floors. Like sitting long-haul in coach class on an aeroplane.
