not sure if you need to notify management company.

i would do nyt, streeteasy, craigslist (i know, but some still use it), zillow and trulia (these 2 are used by out of state people who don't know streeteasy).

make sure you stage the apartment and paint if you decided on some bold colors.

Why do you need an attorney or to notify the mgmt co that you are selling your apartment?

It is worth it to hire a professional photog to take great pix and make sure to declutter! This means not just clearing away any accumulated junk but also stashing things like family photos, kids' toys and other 'personal' objects. Why? Because buyers want to envision themselves in a space and seeing lots of personal items belonging to someone else isn't helpful.

Also make sure the place is sparkling clean--replace or toss anything that looks shabby.

Have a the building's financials and offering plan handy for potential buyers. Check them out yourself so you are aware of any issues.
