Discussion about
anybody know if any retailers are selling the supercompact (18") top loading washers. I've seen them throughout Europe and South America, and I'd love to get one. Real space saver - even over 24" front loaders

Have you tried the 3-in-1 Washer/Dryer? They seem pretty compact to me.

What's the third function in that, iluvappa? Steam? Can you link the model?

@alanhart, I heard LG and Whirlpool is good http://www.amazon.com/LG-FRONT-WASHER-DRYER-COMBO/dp/B0039V7JFG.

Check out this review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7jNEk0NRqo

The con will be it takes longer than usual to wash & dry but if you are a person who likes to schedule things when you are at work (like me), then I think this is good. You set the timer, let the washer/dryer do it's thing, when you get home...it will be done. :)

Those are good, especially the LG ... but they're 2-in-1, not 3-in-1. And kind of big. Some bathroom doors won't accomodate even the smaller 23.5 inch wide/deep combo.
