Just out of curiosity, why would you tear the wall up even more, just to trade one 2010 14,000 BTU air conditioner for another 2010 14,000 BTU air conditioner? Why not get an SS14-something-12 that'd fit in the same sleeve?

The CP14E10 doesn't look like a through the wall unit. The TTW units slide in and fit perfectly. Unless your sleeve is damaged or rusted out, the swap makes no sense. If you are looking for greater efficiency or lower cost try a comparable GE unit, but the Freidrich made in USA units are easier to find in the city. Try PC Richard. They'll even delier/install and remove the old one for a reasonable fee.
