They have barely moved the price and are trying to pass it off as a real 3 bed. It's convertible but doesn't work as a 3 bed for a family. It's no better than a dining alcove as a third.

3C sold in 10/2011 for $799K. 5C has an extra bathroom and has been updated, and the market is certainly alot better now. But do these factors make it worth an extra $400K? I don't think so.

I have a feeling people walk in and see those way-too-shiny floors and get turned off. I also think the kitchen, while arguably cute in the photo, is much less cute in person. It's always harder to imagine renovating apartments that are in reasonably nice shape. So I suspect people feel this is better to just avoid altogether. I would redo those floors with a much flatter finish and put stainless in the kitchen, and paint the place white. The weird gray wall with the ugly sconces is a turn off as well.

Bad neighborhood. Gangs. Porto Ricans. Whites.
