I did try and search through the forum to find answers to my questions, but I failed. I was wondering if someone with experience can provide some general advice:
1) Last night we had our second annual meeting (in 3 years) only initiated through pressure of unit owners. Three board of managers were elected. We actually would like three more on the board - does anyone know how we can achieve this? The by-laws aren't particularly specific regarding this. Can the new board elect additional members?
2) We would like to begin transferring functions (especially financial) away from the management company to the board. An example is the condo account - we would like to ensure only board members can sign off any payments. Would a letter and reasonable notice be sufficient for this?
Appreciate any help anyone can give me.
