Discussion about
Does anyone have an insurance company they can recommend? I have had quotes from State Farm and Chubb but have heard that Chubb has a better turnaround time for claims. Has anyone tried Allstate or other insurance companies out there?

I have Chubb. I have never had a claim with them but from what I have been told and read (including threads on this board), if you actually do file a claim, Chubb pays it quicker and does not try to "weasel" out of paying the claim the way other insurance companies often do. They show up and say "Yes, you had a loss, here is your check" and do not try to short change you. Hopefully I will never find out if that is true or not, but from what I read, everybody agrees that Chubb is the best to deal with. Of course that comes with a price.

I too have Chubb and have never filed a claim. By reputation only, I've heard they are great a claims settlement and processing.

So, assuming identical terms and conditions from Chubb and Allstate, what was the % price difference between the two? (so we can estimate the premium for 'great claims & settlement processing').

IIRC, about 80%
