Question re Kitchen Cabinets/Damage

I took a rental over a year ago, and I resigned the lease for another year. I recently noticed that the kitchen cabinets are really in bad shape [the wall cabinets' are ready fall apart, you cant see it unless you look under them]. There is also some powder like stuff off of the base of the cabinets which made me wonder if there are termites in here. My landlord is not an easy to deal guy, so should I wait until I have to renew the lease to bring this up? Any thoughts are very much appreciated. If you're going to be a smart ass save it. Thanks

Think it is worth sending the pictures and description to the landlord and asking for replacement/ fix as you do not want to have an accident due to cabinets falling off. No harm in asking.
