Help finding source of water damage

My hardwood floors have buckled and the felt and subfloor are damp. I need help finding the source of the water and the plumbers couldn't find anything and suggested I find someone to remove the flooring. Any suggestions of what kind of contractor or firms to work with? Also any recommendations on flooring or renovation folks for the resultant repairs would be appreciated.
