Rental at 305 West 90th Street

Be very careful when dealing with this agent and company! They took my deposit and 80 dollars for a credit check, made me wait a week while telling me that the owner of the building was out of town and couldn't be contacted. They told me that the management company had approved my application and credit. On the last day of the week, I simply receive a email from the rental agent saying that the owner has decided to no longer rent the apt, and that I should come and pick up my deposit check. I got a simple "I'm sorry" when I requested a refund for my 80 dollar credit check. I Just felt they should return the 80 dollars seeing as they represented a rental that through no fault of mine, they could not rent!
