Board approval contingent on maintenance in escrow

Hi! I received board approval for a coop to buy the apartment contingent on 18 months maintenance to be put in escrow. Based on my financial situation, this isn't a crazy ask, but I've been having second thoughts about the apartment and now am pretty sure I have an out if I want it. I think in the negotiations for the apartment I overpaid and I also noticed some things that I will need to fix in the place that I wasn't planning on. Would it be possible to renegotiate with the owner for them to take this amount off the sale price?
