They have no reason to. Staying on the ballot without dropping out might help them get the next job or at the next election.

It is embarrassing, but the question is who should be embarrassed? I think it's the 16%. How could they vote for someone who is likely to be blackmailed in the future for doing something that you know he will repeat. Terrorists could blackmail him to gain access to critical security info.

How can Weiner be blackmailed when he's hardly at all ashamed of the harmless behavior that he engages in in his private life? A mild level of embarrassment is enough to get you to spill nucular secrets to the Soviets?

Not all voters are such Victorians.

"Three strike, you are out."
"Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

If he is caught a third time, he might as well kill himself because he will lose everything, including his family.

Additionally, he could be easily baited and setup for something much more serious. His weakness will be used as bait and his desire to cover it up as motive. Do I need to spell it out further?

http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/washington-whispers/2013/07/29/poll-78-percent-of-young-women-approve-of-weiner

Anthony Weiner loves the ladies, and apparently they love him back.

Sugar daddy dating website SeekingArrangement.com found that 78 percent of female clients aged 18-26 approve of Weiner.

The website, which connects wealthy patrons with attractive clients, surveyed over 18,000 of its female members and discovered that 63 percent of all women surveyed approved of the New York City mayoral hopeful, with the highest approval ratings coming from the 18-26 demographic.

A breakdown of SeekingArrangement.com's stats reveals a 35 percent approval rate (1,833 approve out of 5,287 surveyed) for women 27-34 and 21 percent approval (327 approve out of 1,094 surveyed) from women 35 and older.
