Hello everyone-I am having serious plumbing issues on the eve of my move into my new apt. At the early stages of my renovation, my contractor suggested putting in a Fisher & Paykel drawer dishwasher under kitchen sink, for space efficiency purposes. But for the past 6 weeks he has said that it will not work. He first said he will need a sink that is not as deep or a d/w that is not as high, but now after 6 weeks, nothing has changed. He keeps saying it will be done in a week etc, but I am still waiting, & I am now completely stressed out because I was supposed to move this weekend, but can no longer, because I do not have a fully functioning kitchen. Can anyone recommend a good & honest plumber? Who can take care of this rather quickly? I realize that this will entail either switching the sink or D/W or even both. Thanks! [less]
Can you move in and deal w this next week?
@sp21-theoretically, I could, but I am more concerned at this moment about finding another plumber because I am not confident that my contractor or his plumber can resolve this even by next week. Seems like he is way in over his head, on this one.

Sammy,
I never suggest putting the dishwasher under the sink unless absolutly necessary, sometime it is a nightmare and sometimes impossible to install a dish drawer. I think the only thing you can do is this

I hope this helps

You can't move because you don't have a dishwasher?
I use my dishwasher for storage.

Thx Primer & Kharby
Primer-I'm not saying u suggested it. It was in fact my genius contractor who thought it was possible. But seems like u usually have solutions to pretty much every nightmare which is why I thought of calling for your expertise. Thx again.
Will you be sending Primer a check, or just mooching?
--I use my dishwasher for storage.--
I thought you used your dishwasher to summon roaches to dinner. ;-)
Dishwashers aren't meant for storage. So it will be Matt's fault when something happens with the dishwasher.
Sammy,
I know you weren't saying I told you to do it. My statement was in general.
right on! huntersburg about Matt s dishwasher.
Matt is channeling Gloria Steinem, who has purportedly little regard for kitchen appliances as well. His other inspiration is clearly Madge, the Palmolive spokeswoman.
Oh that silly Matt, clearly inspired by Madge. He obviously should have spent $10,000 to redo his kitchen.
Can anyone redo a kitchen on $10k?
