It is ghastly. For those who like it, the added bonus is state-of-the-art 1970's technology; you too can pretend you were a rising Wall Street star back when the Dow was at 900.
If they had lived there for 2 out of the last 5 years, they would have been able to avoid paying capital gains tax on 500k, a tax savings of 75k. However, the article mentions that "the Caynes moved out years ago".
