Discussion about
I suspect that an apartment I am planning on buying may have lead paint on the walls. Is there an standard clause in a contract to protect the buyer in the case of having to remove lead paint? or is it typical that the buyer just pays the cost of removal after purchase.

There is a lead paint disclosure for both sellers and buyers to sign as part of building application requirements. In it, it says a risk assessment or inspection is recommended. You can easily say you want one- you just have to deal with whatever reaction your seller has.
