Rental at 150 Crown Street

I have friends who live on Washington near Crown. They have been there for a few years. For awhile, guy would meet girl at train and walk home together, but I think they are feeling more comfortable (they've been there for 3 years). I also used to live on Eastern Parkway & Washington. I have gone running at night by myself (female) in that area, but have definitely found that I felt like I needed to be more aware than on the northern side of E. Pkwy. Franklin (south of E. Pkwy) isn't seeing the same upgrades as it is north of E. Pkwy. I don't know how it is specifically on your street or in your building (that's something you'll have to gauge re: security, access, etc); but I think as long as you are smart (as you should be anywhere) - you'll be fine. The bonus is you get to enjoy the upgrades in Crown Heights, Botanic Garden, Museum - for a fraction of what people are paying north of E. Pkwy.
