best time / season to renovate?

is there such a thing as the best time / season to renovate? I am thinking of renovations during the winter and wonder whether there are any pitfalls for renovations during this period? thanks!

thats probably the best time around December/Jan/Feb. If its going to be for sale at some point, then list in spring after reno.

The only downside in doing renovations during december is we lose many days due to the holidays
