Sumit Malhotra, landlord of the Corinthian unit 27F, is a terrible landlord. My wife, 10-month old baby and I went around two months with a microwave and oven which the Corinthian maintenance team said needed to be replaced. We also realized that a master water filter was installed in the kitchen which was completely black, with experts in the industry noting it most likely wasn't replace in many years - which is obviously digusting. We had a code violation in the bathroom which he was written up for. As well as numerous other issues with the unit. And to top it off, Sumit kept my two-months security deposit. I'm in the process of having an attorney get it back. I do want to ensure everyone knows this is likely an isolated incident at the Corinthian in my opinion. The building management and doormen were friendly, the Corinthian complex was well-maintained and was a great place to live if you have kids. However, the experience also tells you the incremental risks tenants have at living at condos - as the individual unit holder makes many of the calls when it comes to things changed inside your individual unit.
