building at 162 West 56th Street Bed Bugs

I've lived in this building for over 10 years. I've never had bed bugs, and don't know of any neighbors that have. So, I can only assume that 'jessievillanova' is either ill informed and/or prone to exaggeration. Likely both. The previous super had been in place for decades and had become complacent. But a new super has been in place for almost a year and he's awesome. He lives in the building and has worked tirelessly to maintain and improve the infrastructure and common areas of the building (his responsibility). We are lucky to have someone so skilled, dedicated and hardworking. I think jessievillnova was a renter, and didn't understand that repairs were the responsbility of her landlord (the owner of the condo she lived in), not the super.

I absolutely love this building. The location is great. Prewar charm, generous square footage and convenient to many subways and Central Park. It's also far enough north of Times Square that the throngs of tourists are not at my doorstep.
