Discussion about
I am considering purchasing a townhouse on 101st Street between Riverside and West End. Does anyone have any advice? Is there a huge dividing line in prices above and below 96th Street? Anyone have any idea how many townhouses become available each year in this neighborhood that are one-family homes that don't need extensive renovations? I am very afraid of this move, but v. think it might be worthwhile

No clue on townhouses, but we just bought a 2BR on 100th between RD and WEA three months ago. We love it so far as it is a great location for a family with RS park and CP near by. The hood is getting better from what I can see, but it is not the same as prime UWS - which I actually like a little better. Broadway is not nearly as nice/clean as it is in the 70's-80's, but Riverside stays nice for a long time going north. I say buy if you really like it.
