Very thin walls both side to side and above, unless apt has been soundproofed after the fact. Also watch for ceiling/plaster issues. Otherwise a great building--very well run/managed in all ways. Lived there 16.5 years...

On the contrary, I must say. i live here for 3 years now and i dont hear a sound from my neighbors. Only when they open the door and the party/gathering music flows into my hallway do i hear it. but otherwise I would have no idea what my direct neighbors are doing.

I only had a problem with a former neighbor when she and her teenagers screamed at each other. Noise problems will be dealt with by calling the doorman or building manager. Storage room has a 2 year waiting list; there is a bike room. Great building; been here over 20 years.

Would love to hear more recent comments from people. I am particular concerned about foot traffic etc. from above.
