I'm sure its "normal" but they don't charge for condo board review in my building.

I'm on the board of our condo, and we definitely don't charge a fee for board review. The management company charges a $200 application fee, and that includes the credit/background checks.

Most coops do not charge for review. The application fee is for the management office to review the application. Therefore, coops and condos have similar policies.

Ridiculous. A credit check costs about $25.
